Sadly, Ron died very suddenly in 2015 due to a massive heart attack. He left behind many who loved him dearly. He is survived by: Wife Shirley Platfoot, son Aaron Platfoot, daughter-in-law Heidi Platfoot and grandson Mac Platfoot. Brothers Tom and Robert Platfoot and sisters Karen (Platfoot) Smith and Mary (Platfoot) Black.
His wife Shirley shared these words:
Ron was a genuine person who always put others before himself and showered his family and friends with love and kindness. He had amazing work ethics and enjoyed working in commercial construction. When he wasn't working he loved sailing or traveling with his family. His epitaph reads "Truly one of a kind" and that he was!

I am sad to hear of the loss of Ron! Ron was a funny guy who dated one of my best friends in high school, Sharon Myers. I look back and think he reminded me a little of a Jack Nicholson character in some ways. I think it was his smile. Ron was a sweet guy and I remember him to be quiet and funny. I always pictured him to be in construction with a truck. Oh, the memories....
